.:TRIVIA AND EASTER EGGS:.

Some things you may not have noticed about the series. =3

Opening Sequence

+ There are two versions of the opening. Go [ here ] for more details on differences.
+ Zakuro is the only girl to open her eyes in the waitress sequence.
+ Mint is the only girl whose pose changes significantly in the waitress sequence (she raises her hands to touch her face).
+ The cafe behind Masaya and Ichigo is called "Tampo Po". The area of the city here is similar to that found in Episode 26.
+ Tart, Pie, the Blue Knight, and Deep Blue are the only main characters left out of the original Japanese OP and ED sequences.

Episode 01

+ When the computer does a scan of Ichigo's genetic material, the letters A, T, C, and G appear. These stand for adenine, guanine, cytocine, and thymine which are chemical components of DNA.
+ On the same shot, scientific names are listed for the various animals the girls are injected with (Mayailurus iriomotensis, Vini peruviana, Neophocaena phocaenoides, and Leontopithecus rosalia rosalia) in order of appearance, however, an additional animal, a species of Japanese coral snake (Hemibungarus japonicus boettgeri), is also listed (after the Blue Lorikeet). The Gray Wolf is either cut off by the angle of the shot or not listed at all. (Note: the end of the Golden Lion Tamarin's scientific name was cut off by the screen).
+ Cafe Mew Mew is located in a park. This is not, however, the same as Inohara Park. Lots of outdoor sequences, however, take place in the cafe's park (there is an overlook with steps down onto a path which is where the first Chimera Anima attacked).
+ Each of the Chimera Animas have a mark somewhere on their bodies which identifies which of the aliens created them. These marks also appear on Pie's and Tart's weapons. This is somewhat similar to how each of the girls has a unique DNA mark that is present on their weapons.

Episode 02

+ Though there is some debate as to whether or not Ryou has graduated from an American university (it has been mentioned online, and it was suggested by Keiichiro in episode 36), he specifically says that he is a high school student here.

Episode 03

+ In the anime, Ryou NEVER introduces himself to Ichigo on-screen, but Ichigo knows his last name by Episode 03.

+ When Ichigo is complaining about her working conditions at the cafe, one shot of her face parodies "The Scream", a painting by Edvard Munch.

Episode 04

+ One shot of the amusement park features a magical girl stage show called "Ugo Ugo Ririi Myou" which resembles "Sailor Moon" in costume style and pose.
+ When the piano appears in the haunted house, Beethoven's "Fur Elise" is played.

Episode 06

+ The song Mary McGuire plays for the girls in Cafe Mew Mew sounds a lot like "Pathetique" (2nd Movement) by Beethoven.

Episode 13

+ In this episode they make a big deal about Masaya Aoyama calling Ichigo by her given name for the first time as opposed to the polite "Momomiya-san", however, he had already called her "Ichigo" in episode 12.

Episode 16

+ The first song Lettuce is humming is "Hitori de Itemo", one of her character songs.
+ Pudding breaks the fourth wall.

Episode 20

+ When Pudding gets sick, Mint makes a comment: "Such a healthy person like her has a cold... how odd". Pudding was already sick with a cold once in Episode 08.

Episode 21

+ During the scene with Ryou and Zakuro, there is a reflection of a clock on the wall. The digital part of the clock is mirrored (as if being viewed from behind), but the hands are spinning in the correct direction (as if being viewed from the front). No matter how you read it, the digital and traditional parts of the clock are telling completely different times.

Episode 25

+ Ichigo's ringtone is "Koi wa a la Mode".

Episode 31

+ A short clip is shown of Shintaro Momomiya smoking. He is the only named character seen smoking in the series.

Episode 36

+ The contents and layout of Ryou's room changes throughout the series. In this episode he has curtains and a head board. In episodes 05 and 20 these items were absent. There also does not seem to be a window on the outside of the cafe that corresponds to the one in Ryou's bedroom.

+ While Ichigo is walking down the sidewalk after cornering a bird, she hums Mint's image song "Blue Bird".

Episode 48

+ Keiichiro's laptop is a Sony VAIO.

Episode 49

+ Ichigo's ringtone is "Kirameki no Umi wo Koete".

Episode 52

+ We see the cat leaving Ichigo's body in the opposite manner of how it entered her body when she was first injected, yet Ichigo is still able to transform at the very end of the episode without being re-injected.
